Who's In Charge Here?
STEVE LEKOWICZ
Steve got his start in movies when his friend Sven (who's not Nordic) saved up and bought an 8mm movie camera for his
12th birthday.
The acting bug bit, but was soon put in a little jar with holes punched in its lid while Steve went about doing the high
school thing. While attending the Boston University College of Communication (go COM '91!), he got interested in
cinematography. He and his school chums shot a short of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Babylon Revisited, which won
some kind of award at COM. The acting bug escaped its jar, and Steve began doing improv comedy and stage work at BU.
When college ended, Steve and some more school chums somehow got a feature film off the ground. A Pound of Flesh,
a dark comedy, had several sucessful showings in Boston. Now, Steve is in L.A. and doesn't find it so bad. He's still doing
improv, has been in a few commercials, several plays, and will soon be in an online sitcom. He likes chocolate cake.
DAVID MELITO
David was born and raised by liberals who lived in a geodesic dome in Winetka. Or so he thinks. Really, his story begins
(because Steve is writing this) in the Ithica College Film Production program. There, David's insanity was rewarded with an
award for his student short, Palindrome. Since then, David has worked on over 20 feature films on both coasts of
this great land of ours. He is currently developing a television show dedicated to roadside attractions. He loves
self-promotion and hates writing biographies.
